On their first day here we checked out some of the Fur Rondy attractions. Here are the guys in front of one of the snow sculptures down by Ship Creek.

That evening we went to an Alaska Aces hockey game. They lost to the Las Vegas Wranglers, but we had a pretty good time anyway!

The next day it was off to Fairbanks. Jason made himself comfortable for the ~7 hour drive :)

We had gorgeous sunny weather and great views of Denali on the way up.

It was one of those rare occasions that we had others with us so we were able to get pics other than self-photos!

Hours later we arrived in Fairbanks and headed to our main destination, the World Ice Art Championships

We had been a few years before but thought it would be a neat thing for Terry and Jason to see.
