On a weekend trip up to Vancouver BC, we biked through Stanley Park and along the Seawall Trail. We had beautiful views and were also able to take in the festivities of the dragon boat festival that was taking place near the Science Center.

...and over to Granville Island where Abby geeked out over the public market!

In the middle of the Olympic Village/athlete housing (near False Creek, along the Seawall Trail), there were two huge sparrows, part of a city public art campaign. They were installed in April (after the Olympics) because the village was closed to the public during the games...and it seems like now you can buy a condo in the village.

Abby's bike taking a rest on Bryan's rental bike :)

Not the Inukshuk from the Olympics, this one was commissioned by the Government for the NW Territories for its pavilion at EXPO 86. It was then gifted to the city of Vancouver and moved to its current location on the Seawall in 1987.
|
We also drove up to Grouse Mountain (but didn't pay to ride up) to see what we could see...which included a wolf habitat.
|
While in Vancouver we also played an executive par 3 course...Abby's first golf outing of the season!
|
And on Bryan's last day in Seattle we went to Safeco to watch the Cubs play the Mariners...and in true Cubs form, they lost 0-2. It was still a great night for baseball!

This summer, Abby and some friends are planning random Seattle adventures. Excursion I involved paddle boating on Green Lake
